Senior Java SDET

About the role

Thales, a global technology leader, seeks a Senior Java SDET to elevate automated testing for its SaaS security platform. The role focuses on designing, developing, and executing Java/Python automation tests covering functional, acceptance, system, performance, and penetration testing of real‑time security products. Candidates will collaborate with R&D, product, security, and analytics teams to refine testing strategies and integrate continuous testing into Agile SDLC. Responsibilities include adapting CI infrastructure, maintaining automation suites for frontend, backend, and APIs, and enabling continuous delivery. The position requires strong Java, Selenium, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab, Linux scripting, and performance testing skills, with a minimum of 5 years in SaaS or security product testing.

What you’ll do

• Plan, design Java/Python automation tests for functional, acceptance, performance of security product
• Execute and maintain automation tests for functional, acceptance, performance of security product
• Collaborate with R&D, PM, analytics teams to improve testing approach and execution for Scrum team
• Design and implement agile testing processes for efficient SDLC
• Adapt existing CI infrastructure to team practice
• Write, maintain, improve automation tests for frontend, backend, APIs
• Enable continuous testing and delivery with team members

What you’ll bring

• B.Sc. Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 5+ years Test Engineer in SaaS, Security, or Enterprise product space
• Java and Selenium programming
• Web application knowledge
• SaaS environment experience
• Container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)
• Jenkins, Gitlab deployment tools
• Linux scripting fundamentals
• Detail-oriented, analytical, problem solving, time management

Nice to have

• Experience executing testing of complex products
• Experience collaborating with offshore teams
• Experience load and performance testing (JMeter, Avalanche)
• Experience with AI tools and practices.
• Desire to learn and innovate!
