About the role
Wells Fargo seeks a Senior Software Engineer-SDET to lead test automation and quality engineering initiatives for its technology domain. The role involves designing, coding, and debugging complex systems using Java and Playwright while mentoring junior staff. This full-time position is based in Hyderabad, India, with a Hybrid work model.
What you’ll do
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and contribute to large-scale strategy planning
- Design, code, test, debug, and document technology projects and programs
- Resolve technical challenges and lead teams to meet client needs
- Act as an escalation point and provide guidance to less experienced staff
- Collaborate with peers and mid-level managers to achieve goals
- Review complex technical challenges requiring in-depth evaluation
What you’ll bring
- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience or equivalent
- Strong experience in test automation and quality engineering
- Proficiency in Java programming language
- Experience testing Microservices and REST APIs
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (mandatory)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
Nice to have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
