About the role
U.S. Bancorp India is driving digital transformation for one of the largest U.S. banks, building reliable, scalable software experiences. As a Software Engineer you will design, develop, test and maintain full‑stack Python applications, conduct code reviews, ensure security and compliance, and improve reliability across the platform. Chennai, India – on‑site role with hybrid flexibility, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain Python‑based software products
- Own full‑stack code with production‑ready, testable implementations
- Conduct code reviews and enforce compliance and security standards
- Drive reliability engineering practices and operational improvements
- Collaborate across product, scrum, and vendor teams
- Prioritize and size tasks for incremental delivery
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum eight years of software engineering experience
- Python development with REST/API and OCR
- Agile software development lifecycle
- DevOps principles
- Strong algorithms and data structures knowledge
- Architectural design patterns
- Effective problem‑solving and analytical skills
