About the role

Swiss Re's Actuarial Services Unit seeks an Actuarial Analyst to support pricing analytics and regulatory compliance for North American P&C products. The role involves preparing rate filings, automating workflows, conducting audits, and performing actuarial analyses in Bangalore on a hybrid basis. This position blends data science with insurance strategy to drive profitable growth.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare state-specific rate filings ensuring accuracy and timely submission
  • Automate processes and workflows to reduce manual effort
  • Perform actuarial pricing tasks including rate reviews and impact analyses
  • Conduct compliance audits to validate charged rates against filed rates
  • Investigate and resolve data issues to reconcile discrepancies
  • Support actuarial analytics projects like competitor analysis and benchmarking
  • Ensure operations align with internal guidelines and best practices
  • Support review of US regulatory laws and ad hoc actuarial work

What you’ll bring

  • University degree in a quantitative discipline (M.Sc./Ph.D. preferred)
  • 2–3 years of experience in insurance or reinsurance
  • Exposure to Property & Casualty (P&C) products in North America
  • Minimum of 3 passed actuarial papers from recognized bodies
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, SQL, VBA, MS Access, Business Objects, and R

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with US state regulatory filing requirements
  • Experience with process automation and efficiency improvements
  • Project management skills for cross-functional coordination
  • Exposure to competitor analysis or market intelligence
  • Strong English communication and presentation skills
