About the role
Central QA team in the Steel Melting Shop ensures product quality and compliance. The Associate Manager develops and maintains the Quality Management System, defines SOPs and inspection plans, and leads audits and CAPA activities. Based in Jajpur, Odisha, India, on-site role with occasional cross‑functional collaboration.
What you’ll do
- Develop and maintain the Quality Management System for the Steel Melting Shop
- Define SOPs, inspection and test plans for slab production
- Coordinate with SMS team on quality issues and manage CAPA for complaints
- Oversee daily quality parameters, slab inventory, and conduct process audits
- Lead training for plant personnel and publish technical papers
What you’ll bring
- 2-5 years experience in steel industry, preferably steel melting shop
- Experience with quality management systems and SOP development
- Knowledge of inspection and test planning for slab production
- Ability to conduct audits and manage CAPA processes
- Strong problem‑solving and data analysis skills
