About the role
Vertiv seeks an Engineer II in Pune, India, to design and develop DC Power Systems for telecommunications products. The role involves leading new product development, value engineering, and quality improvement projects from end-to-end execution. This is an on-site position requiring independent project management and team coordination.
What you’ll do
- Design and Develop DC Power System for Telecommunication Products
- Take complete responsibility of project execution from end to end
- Estimate, Plan, co-ordinate and execute projects along with sub-ordinates
- Independently conduct work product reviews and Analytical calculations
- Actively participate in Design Reviews
- Maintain desired performance levels set by organization
- Handle projects independently and guide team members as needed
- Conduct Value Engineering and Value Analysis projects
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in New Product Design
- Excellent command on Creo into sheet metal/bus bar domain
- Experience on Part & Assembly Modelling, Drafting and Engineering Change Orders
Nice to have
- Experience in handling large Creo CAD assemblies and manage modifications
- Experience on any PDM/PLM tools like Oracle PLM
- Knowledge of material selection & Sheet metal manufacturing processes
- Experience in doing Quality checks, conducting DFMEA & DFMA of Product assembly
