About the role

Rural Credit vertical at Axis Bank focuses on financing agricultural clients, tractor purchases, and related rural enterprises. The Credit Officer leads credit appraisal, prepares proposals, and ensures portfolio quality while gathering market intelligence. Based in Vijayawada, on-site work model, with responsibility for meeting policy compliance and audit standards.

What you’ll do

• Prepare credit proposals and ensure timely sanctioning
• Maintain proposal quality to minimize delinquency
• Gather market intelligence on risk trends
• Coordinate with internal functions to align objectives
• Complete deliverables, audit queries, and adhere to rural credit policies

What you’ll bring

• Graduation or Post‑Graduation in Agri Business Management
• MBA or CA preferred
• Knowledge of tractor and farmer funding products
• Understanding of regulatory credit guidelines
• Proficiency in English and local language communication
