Private Equity Intelligence – News Junior Analyst

About the role

Gain.pro is a fast‑growing fintech platform that delivers deep private‑market insights to investors and advisors. As a Private Equity Intelligence – News Junior Analyst, you will join the founding team of the News function and monitor financial news, press releases and market data to spot new M&A transactions and ownership changes, initially focusing on the U.S. market. You will track, research and validate deals, including VC fund raises, PE buyouts and strategic acquisitions, and enter accurate deal information into the Gain.pro platform, maintaining high data quality. Routine data checks and updates will keep the database current. You will also support workflow improvements and collaborate closely with senior associates. What you’ll do

• Monitor financial news sources, company press releases and market data to identify new M&A transactions
• Track, research and validate M&A deals and ownership transactions, including VC fund raises, PE buyouts, strategic acquisitions
• Accurately input and analyze deal information into Gain.pro platform, ensuring high data quality and consistency
• Conduct routine checks to ensure data accuracy and keep information updated in a timely manner
• Support strategic initiatives to improve workflow processes and efficiency
• Work in close coordination with experienced Private Equity Intelligence News Associates

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business or quantitative field
• 6 months experience in news & research with financial databases (Pitchbook, Bloomberg, etc.)
• Strong interest in private equity and investment banking
• Excellent communication skills
• Bias to action and self‑motivation
