About the role

Senior Associate, Payroll role focused on U.S. payroll processing, tax compliance, and process improvement within a global finance team.

What you’ll do

  • Own end‑to‑end U.S. payroll processing with minimal supervision
  • Lead complex payroll activities (multi‑state tax, W‑2 testing, 401(k), salary variance)
  • Serve as U.S. payroll subject‑matter expert on tax matters
  • Prepare, review, and post payroll journal entries (accruals, reversals, adjustments)
  • Act as primary contact for payroll escalations, employee inquiries, vendor coordination
  • Partner with HR, Finance, Tax, and Benefits to resolve issues and support audits
  • Review payroll outputs for quality and compliance, identify and remediate discrepancies
  • Drive payroll process improvements, automation, and system enhancements using Excel, Workday, etc.
  • Mentor junior team members as needed

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years finance, accounting, or U.S. payroll experience
  • Expertise in state/local tax calculations and compliance
  • Proficient in W-2 testing, year‑end reconciliation, and 401(k) processing
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, COUNTIFS, SUMIFS, nested IFs)
  • Experience with payroll journal entries, accruals, and financial reconciliations
  • Ability to manage payroll for foreign or global clients
  • Strong attention to detail and data‑analysis skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and ethical standards
