About the role

Amazon Lab126, the team behind the Silicon IP AZ1 Neural Edge for Echo devices, is seeking a SoC Validation Associate to support post‑silicon validation and lab operations. The role performs board‑level rework, sets up and operates lab equipment, executes test plans on emulation and early silicon platforms, and documents results while collaborating with senior validation engineers. Bengaluru, KA, IND – on‑site work model.

What you’ll do

Perform board‑level rework and component soldering
Set up and operate DC power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
Execute predefined test scripts on emulation and early silicon platforms
Assist in silicon bring‑up activities such as power sequencing and clock measurement
Build, configure and maintain lab test setups and prototype hardware
Document test results, rework procedures and debug findings
Support automation of repetitive lab tasks with scripting

What you’ll bring

3+ years hardware development or test lab experience
Experience with motherboard and PCB design
Proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and signal generators
Developed high‑quality test plans and execution strategies
Strong analytical and communication skills
Automation using Bash/shell scripting and Python
Diploma or Bachelor's in Electronics/Electrical Engineering

Nice to have

Post‑silicon validation experience
Familiarity with ARM‑based development boards
Knowledge of JTAG, SWD, UART, I2C, SPI interfaces
Exposure to thermal, power or reliability testing
Version control (Git) and issue tracking tools
Bare‑metal firmware loading and boot flow debugging
ESD‑safe handling and cleanroom protocols
