About the role

Solera Data Services team builds high‑performance, scalable database platforms that power vehicle lifecycle digital experiences. The Senior Principal Database Engineer designs, implements and optimizes multi‑model databases across on‑prem, cloud and hybrid environments, collaborates with application and data science teams, and drives standards for performance and coding. Hyderabad office, on‑site role, relocation assistance available.

What you’ll do

• Design and maintain OLTP and analytics database architectures
• Develop data models, flow diagrams and enforce design standards
• Optimize performance across MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, MongoDB, Cosmos DB, Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse
• Create monitoring, alerting and tuning solutions
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align database solutions with business needs
• Lead adoption of cloud‑native and hybrid database services

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years database architecture and design experience
• Expertise in performance tuning for relational and NoSQL databases
• Proficiency with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse)
• Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
• Strong communication and cross‑team collaboration skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
