Led Technology Risk and Controls - Metrics & Automation

About the role

Northern Trust seeks a Led Technology Risk and Controls - Metrics & Automation professional based in Pune, India, to lead and guide team members within the Technology Risk and Control function. Day-to-day work includes planning and overseeing daily tasks and long-term projects, developing executive presentations and briefing materials, driving process improvements across control design and execution, maintaining a knowledge base, and performing data analysis and visualization with Power BI to identify risk trends and control gaps. The role reports to Technology and Risk stakeholders and supports management meetings through data compilation and talking points.

What you’ll do

• May act as Project Leader, providing leadership and direction to team members and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture within Technology Risk and Control
• Plan and oversee daily tasks and long-term projects to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
• Develop and deliver high-quality presentation materials articulating technology risk and control strategies, project updates, key findings, and recommendations for Technology and Risk stakeholders
• Collect and synthesize input from Technology Risk and Control leaders on key topics, translating complex themes into concise executive presentations, leadership briefings, and decision-ready materials
• Drive process improvements across Technology Risk and Controls by applying understanding of technology risk domains, control design, control execution, and evidence requirements
• Support preparation for management meetings by compiling data, drafting talking points, and creating briefing materials
• Develop and maintain a knowledge base for Technology Risk and Control covering key risk areas, control expectations, governance processes, reporting standards, and supporting procedures
• Perform data analysis and visualization using tools such as Power BI to identify technology risk trends, control gaps, emerging issues, and actionable insights for data-driven decision-making by IT ma

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
• At least four, typically six or more years of technical experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols, or equivalent combinat
• Solid understanding of technology risk and control concepts, including inherent and residual risk, control objectives, key controls, risk indicators, issue management, control testing, and risk govern
• Experience in technology risk or control functions, preferably in financial services or a regulated industry
• Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
