Technology Risk & Governance Lead

About the role

Enterprise Technology Risk team at WPP drives a data‑led, automation‑first approach to managing technology risk across the global agency network. The Lead will develop and mature the risk management framework, run assessments, produce dashboards for senior stakeholders, and partner with security, audit and legal teams to improve risk visibility. Based in Chennai, India with a hybrid work model (four days onsite per week).

What you’ll do

• Develop and mature WPP’s technology risk management framework
• Facilitate risk assessments and scenario analysis across enterprise technology
• Maintain risk registers, issue management and remediation tracking
• Produce management reporting, dashboards and risk insights for senior stakeholders
• Drive automation, analytics and AI‑enabled improvements to risk processes
• Partner with security, audit, legal and control teams to enhance risk visibility
• Recruit, lead and develop a high‑performing technology risk team in India and the UK

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years in technology risk, IT risk, cyber risk or IT audit
• Experience in large, multinational tech environments
• Strong understanding of ITGCs, cloud, infrastructure and identity controls
• Proven ability to develop risk reporting and dashboards
• Leadership experience building and coaching risk teams
