About the role

The Senior Technical Program Manager, Cloud Silicon role at Google supports the AI and Infrastructure team, which delivers AI and infrastructure at scale including TPUs, Vertex AI, Google Global Networking, and data center operations. Based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, the TPM leads complex, multi-disciplinary custom silicon programs from start to finish—planning requirements, identifying risks, managing schedules, and communicating across cross-functional partners. Day-to-day work includes justifying, planning, and coordinating custom silicon products, building timelines, driving trade-off discussions, and managing execution through design, development, test, manufacturing, deployment, and sustaining activities.

What you’ll do

  • Justify, plan, coordinate, and deliver custom silicon products.
  • Generate task lists, build project timelines, and work with teams to make them a reality.
  • Lead the creation of data-motivated schedules and milestones, track progress, identify potential future tests, and identify mitigations with multiple team leaders.
  • Drive technical, budgetary, and schedule trade-off discussions with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage project execution and issues as they arise through design, development, test, manufacturing, deployment, and sustaining activities for silicon and hardware products.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in architecture, design, verification, implementation, or validation across 7 chip development cycles.
  • Experience with managing technical cross-functional projects.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience as an engineer or manager in developing hardware or software systems around the chips.
  • Experience with two or more chip cycles in a project management role with execution within resource and schedule constraints.
  • Knowledge of data centers and cloud markets, technological and business trends, requirements, and ecosystem partners.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
