About the role
The SailPoint Architect leads design, implementation, and governance of enterprise IAM solutions using SailPoint IdentityIQ and IdentityNow. Responsibilities include architecting end‑to‑end IAM frameworks, defining lifecycle and access governance, creating scalable secure solutions, and integrating with AD, Azure AD, LDAP, HR systems, and cloud platforms. The role drives technical architecture diagrams, leads upgrades and migrations, customizes connectors via Java, Beanshell, and REST APIs, and implements governance controls such as SoD, certifications, and audit reporting. The architect collaborates with security, infrastructure, HR, and application teams, provides technical reviews, troubleshoots performance issues, and optimizes configurations for scalability. Leadership and stakeholder communication are essential, as is ensuring compliance with SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and other regulations.
What you’ll do
- Design end‑to‑end IAM architecture using SailPoint
- Define identity lifecycle, provisioning, de‑provisioning models
- Create scalable, secure IAM solutions aligned with enterprise standards
- Develop architecture diagrams, solution designs, integration patterns
- Lead SailPoint implementations, upgrades, migrations
- Integrate SailPoint with AD, Azure AD, LDAP, HR systems, cloud platforms
- Configure connectors, workflows, rules, policies, certifications
- Customize SailPoint via Java, Beanshell, REST APIs, JSON
- Implement access certifications, role management, SoD controls, audit reporting
- Support audit activities and remediation efforts
- Guide developers and engineers on best practices
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, HR, application teams
- Provide architectural reviews and technical governance
- Troubleshoot complex IAM issues and performance bottlenecks
- Optimize configurations for scalability and efficiency
- Define monitoring, logging, operational support models
- Support production deployments and incident resolution
What you’ll bring
- Hands‑on SailPoint IdentityIQ/IdentityNow expertise
- IAM concepts: authentication, RBAC, ABAC
- Proficiency in Java, Beanshell, REST/SOAP, SQL, XML/JSON
- Experience with AD, LDAP, cloud IAM, SSO (SAML, OAuth, OIDC)
- 6+ years IAM experience, 3+ years as SailPoint Architect
Nice to have
- SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer/Architect
- SailPoint IdentityNow Implementation Professional
- CISSP, CISM or similar security certifications
- Zero Trust, DevOps/CI‑CD, cloud security, PAM exposure
