Specialist SAP Architect

As a Specialist SAP Architect, you will design, configure, and integrate SAP Production Planning and Manufacturing (PP-PI) and Quality Management (QM) within S/4HANA across all manufacturing sites. Responsibilities include aligning PP-PI modules with life‑sciences best practices, implementing QM processes, integrating with MM, WM/EWM, PM, MES, and other non‑SAP systems, supporting production planning, capacity management, shop‑floor execution, and batch management, conducting architectural reviews, maintaining technical documentation, and participating in SAFe sprint planning. You will develop AI/ML‑driven solutions to accelerate value delivery. Qualifications: Master’s with 1‑3 years SAP S/4HANA PP‑PI/QM experience, or Bachelor’s with 3‑5 years, or Diploma with 7‑9 years. Must have hands‑on S/4HANA PP‑PI, QM, MRP, capacity planning, batch management, shop‑floor control, recipe management, and integration with EWM, LIMS, MES. Experience in regulated life‑sciences environments, strong understanding of GMP, GxP, FDA validation, and ability to design solutions, debug, and produce functional specs, test cases, compliance reports. Preferred: Batch release hub, SAP MM/SD knowledge, Agile methodology familiarity. Certifications: SAP Certified Application Associate in S/4HANA PP‑PI & QM; Agile Certified Practitioner (preferred). Soft skills: analytical, problem‑solving, communication, collaboration, accuracy, compliance. Shift: later shift, may include second or third shift; must work evenings or nights. What you’ll do

• Design, configure, and implement SAP S/4HANA PP and PP-PI modules aligned with life sciences clinical manufacturing best practices.
• Design, configure, and implement SAP S/4HANA Quality Management processes.
• Support integration with QM, MM, WM/EWM, and PM modules and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Support production planning, capacity management, shop floor execution, and batch management processes.
• Conduct architectural reviews and assessments to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Create and maintain critical documentation such as technical assessments, configuration specs, functional designs, test cases, and user manuals.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to deliver and sustain Amgen’s S/4HANA ecosystem utilizing the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Develop innovative solutions that drive speed to value via AI/ML and leading practices.

What you’ll bring

• Master’s degree with 1 to 3 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP S/4HANA Quality Management & Production & Planning modules OR
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years of SAP implementation experience in SAP S/4HANA Quality Management & Production & Planning modules OR
• Diploma with 7 to 9 years of IT or years of SAP implementation experience in SAP S/4HANA Quality Management & Production & Planning modules.
