Application Engineer II

About the role

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases seeks an Application Engineer II to support sales for Standard and Configurable products within the Applied Technologies Business Unit. The role involves sizing equipment, generating proposals, and managing customer interactions for LNG and hydrogen solutions. This is a remote position based in Vadodara, GJ, IN.

What you’ll do

• Qualify support requests from sales by confirming requirements with customers
• Perform basic process sizing using internal tools for heat transfer and pressure drop
• Estimate equipment costs using local templates and collaborating with Engineering/Procurement
• Generate comprehensive proposals for Standard and Configurable products
• Manage closed-loop proposal follow-up and incorporate customer feedback
• Meet KPIs including quote volume, capture rates, and time-to-quote metrics
• Support key customer relationships and provide in-region presence as needed
• Coach and mentor other positions within the department

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in marketing or business management
• 3-5 years experience in cryogenic industries (LNG, Hydrogen, Industrial Gas)
• Experience in engineered and high-volume sales environments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
• Knowledge of heat, mass, pressure transfer, and electrical/mechanical calculations

Nice to have

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history
• Proficiency in Salesforce, Quotewerks, or similar internal software
• Strong problem-solving, negotiating, and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholder interaction
