Payroll Specialist

About the role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support US Payroll operations based in Hyderabad, India. In this role, you will participate in less complex payroll initiatives, review and analyze tactical payroll assignments, and present recommendations for resolving more complex payroll situations while developing understanding of payroll policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You will also provide information to payroll colleagues, internal partners, and peers. This is a full-time position requiring 2+ years of accounting, payroll, or payroll tax experience.

What you’ll do

• Participate in less complex initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements within Payroll
• Review and analyze basic or tactical Payroll assignments or challenges that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives, related to low-to-medium risk deliverables
• Present recommendations for resolving more complex Payroll situations and exercise some independent judgment while developing understanding of Payroll policies, procedures, and/or compliance requireme
• Provide information to Payroll colleagues, internal partners, and peers

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years of Accounting, Payroll, or Payroll Tax experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education
• Experience with Workday Bulk transaction processing and Payroll processing on Workday
• Ability to review and analyze basic or tactical Payroll assignments requiring research, evaluation, and selection of alternatives
• Ability to present recommendations for resolving more complex Payroll situations
• Ability to exercise independent judgment while developing understanding of Payroll policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
• Ability to provide information to Payroll colleagues, internal partners, and peers
• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements within Payroll
