About the role
AECOM's Building Structures team in Gurugram, India, seeks a Principal Engineer to deliver technical solutions for complex building projects across global offices. The role independently develops approaches to difficult structural problems, with a focus on retail and hospitality medium to large projects, while applying building design services, associated regulations, and technical standards. This is a hybrid position requiring an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.

- Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
- Works under only general direction and independently determines and develops approach to solutions
- Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions
- Capable of working on own initiative with overall responsibility and accountability for assigned work
- Must be a team player
What you’ll bring
- Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university
- 8-12 years of experience in Civil Engineering
- Experience in retail and hospitality medium to large projects
- Experience in delivering projects in BIM and relevant discipline software
- Knowledgeable in building design services, associated regulations and technical standards
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well independently
- Good communication skills
- Ability to make decisions, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way
