About the role
Buildings Department – High-Rise team at Ramboll designs sustainable tall‑building solutions worldwide. The Senior/Principal Electrical Engineer leads electrical services design from feasibility through detailed design, mentors junior engineers, and coordinates with architects, structural engineers and project managers to ensure compliance with BIM standards and international codes. Based in Chennai or Noida, on‑site work with occasional travel to global offices, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Lead electrical design for small to medium high‑rise projects
- Develop design philosophies and ensure QA/QC of documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Prepare and present technical design notes to clients and stakeholders
- Support pre‑qualification, RFPs and client inquiries
What you’ll bring
- 10-12 years of electrical engineering experience
- 5+ years on UK high‑rise projects
- Proficiency with BIM/digitalization tools (Trimble, Revit, Navisworks)
- Advanced knowledge of HV/LV power distribution, lighting, ELV systems
- Familiarity with BS‑EN, CIBSE, ASHRAE, NFPA standards
