The Deputy Manager leads a team of cost engineers to develop pricing strategies, zero‑base costing, and track BOM costs across projects, ensuring compliance with tax and commodity impacts. Based in Chennai, India, on-site work model.

What you’ll do

• Develop pricing strategies for key and critical components
• Perform zero‑base costing and cost estimation for products
• Lead a team of cost engineers to generate project cost analyses
• Maintain and track multiple project BOM costs
• Evaluate budget impact of currency and commodity inflation on BOM costs
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations affecting BOM costing
• Collaborate with suppliers to protect BOM cost integrity
• Drive continuous improvement in cost engineering processes

What you’ll bring

• 12+ years experience
• Knowledge of automotive aggregates (sheet metal, plastic, rubber, electrical, electronics, casting, forging)
• Expertise in electrical/electronic components and new technology trends
• Familiarity with plating, welding, PCB technology
• Understanding of raw material rates, standards and industry trends
• Ability to cost products from drawings/circuits and develop pricing strategies
• Knowledge of domestic and import taxes and their impact on BOM costing
• Experience leading and developing a team of cost engineers
