About the role

Seasoned Compliance & Risk Director to lead SEI's compliance framework in India, overseeing regulatory registrations, vendor compliance, and risk management across SEI India, GCC, and third-party engagements. Drives policy development, training, and stakeholder liaison with regulators, auditors, and global teams. Manages risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and integration of compliance and risk frameworks to support sustainable growth. Requires deep knowledge of Indian regulatory landscape, GCC financial services compliance, and experience building robust programs in multi-jurisdictional environments.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and maintain compliance programs aligned with Indian regulations and global framework.
  • Monitor evolving laws, update policies, procedures, controls.
  • Oversee local regulatory registrations, licenses, filings, statutory obligations.
  • Act as primary liaison for regulators, auditors, external advisors.
  • Drive compliance awareness and training across organization.
  • Support maintenance of global regulatory registries and compliance attestations.
  • Review policy exception requests, ensure documentation and governance approvals.
  • Communicate compliance policies and standards across GCC.
  • Keep employees informed of compliance changes via targeted communications.
  • Identify compliance and operational risks impacting SEI India & GCC.
  • Embed risk awareness into compliance processes and day-to-day operations.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Oversee enterprise risk assessments, present findings to senior leadership.
  • Integrate compliance and risk frameworks to support sustainable growth.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor's in law, finance, business admin; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years compliance, risk, or regulatory experience; 5+ years leadership.
  • Strong GCC regulatory knowledge, financial, corporate governance, AML.
  • Design and implement compliance programs in complex, multi-jurisdiction settings.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong banking/financial regulatory compliance, testing, auditing.
  • Familiarity with local and state compliance laws.
  • Long-term, project-based work while executing task-based elements.
  • Independent execution with sound judgment.
  • Advanced understanding of function and SEI competitive environment.
  • Fast-paced, ambiguous environment managing diverse responsibilities.
  • Excellent judgment, decision-making, issue analysis.
  • Strong research, verbal and written communication.
  • Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint knowledge.
  • Impactful presentation skills to effect change.
