About the role

Waters Connected Science team builds cloud‑native platforms for life‑science analytics. The Cloud Principal Engineer leads design, architecture, and implementation of scalable services, mentors cross‑functional teams, and drives best practices in CI/CD, security, and regulated development. Based in Bangalore, India, the role is on‑site with a hybrid model for occasional remote work.

What you’ll do

• Lead user story refinement and technical design sessions
• Architect, develop, and document cloud services
• Mentor team on coding standards and best practices
• Drive continuous improvement of team skills and product quality
• Ensure compliance with quality and security policies

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in science or computing engineering
• 12+ years in cloud and software development
• Proficiency in C#/.NET and Angular
• Experience with AWS, microservices, API development
• Knowledge of TDD, CI/CD, SOLID, BDD
• Agile delivery experience
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
