About the role

Platform Infrastructure Engineering Team at FactSet drives cloud strategy and execution across GCP and AWS. The Principal Software Engineer will lead cloud architecture initiatives, partner with business units to modernize workloads, and mentor engineers on DevOps, IaC, and cost optimization. Based in Hyderabad, on-site, with occasional on-call and weekend duties.

What you’ll do

• Plan and implement enterprise cloud programs
• Drive adoption of cloud services across engineering teams
• Ensure availability and consumability of core infrastructure in cloud
• Guide teams on DevOps, IaC, and automated releases
• Collaborate with security to maintain strong cloud posture
• Develop HA/DR processes and tooling
• Identify and execute cost‑saving strategies
• Participate in on‑call rotation and occasional weekend work

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years public cloud experience
• 3+ years GCP experience
• Strong knowledge of AWS and GCP networking
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Terraform or Ansible
• Experience with Docker, GKE, Serverless
• Understanding of HA/DR design
• Cost optimization expertise
• Leadership of cross‑functional tech teams

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
