AI Specialist (Applied AI)

About the role

AI team at Caravel designs and delivers applied AI solutions, including LLM workflows, retrieval-augmented generation systems, and agentic automation integrated into client business platforms. The specialist works directly with clients across US business hours from India or South America, translating business problems into production-ready AI, defining prompt specifications, and establishing evaluation criteria. This role is remote and requires close collaboration with the prompt-development pod and client stakeholders.

What you’ll do

• Scope, design, and deliver applied AI solutions integrated into client systems
• Conduct client discovery, solution design, demos, and delivery
• Define specifications for prompt‑development pod and review builds
• Establish evaluation criteria and measure solution quality and ROI
• Advise clients on AI readiness, data, and responsible deployment
• Contribute to reusable AI accelerators and go‑to‑market offerings

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years experience in AI/ML or applied AI engineering
• Hands‑on production LLM implementations
• Strong Python programming
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector stores
• Client‑facing consulting skills
• Fluent English with US business hour overlap
