XEV Battery Management System, AM/DM

About the role

Engineering Department at Maruti Suzuki India focuses on developing advanced battery management systems for hybrid and electric vehicles. The Software Engineer will design and implement BMS architecture, develop control algorithms for SOC/SOH estimation, cell balancing, and thermal management, and conduct validation and testing at pack and vehicle levels. Based in Pune with on-site work model, the role may require posting to other locations as needed.

What you’ll bring

• B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or related field with 60% marks
• M.E/M.Tech in Control Systems (desirable)
• Experience with Lithium-Ion battery design and testing
• BMS hardware/software design and configuration
• Model Based Design using Matlab Simulink
• ECU testing and electrical troubleshooting
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety
• Familiarity with HEV/EV regulations
