About the role
Mechanical Engineering Team at Quest Global designs ventilation and hazardous gas protection systems for gas‑based power plants. The Senior Engineer creates concept and detailed designs, performs calculations, selects components, and coordinates with suppliers and other disciplines to deliver compliant, maintainable solutions. Based in Bengaluru or Chennai, India, on‑site work required.
What you’ll do
- Develop concept and detailed designs with schematics and specifications
- Perform engineering calculations and size components such as fans, blowers, valves, dampers
- Prepare purchase specifications, evaluate supplier bids and issue purchase orders
- Review supplier documentation and integrate equipment with mechanical, electrical and I&C interfaces
- Ensure designs meet codes, standards, GE rules and health‑safety requirements
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and support technical team leaders
- Maintain design documents and databases, contribute to design reviews and case studies
- Respond to customer comments and manage project schedule and issue resolution
What you’ll bring
- Mechanical engineering degree or master's
- 6+ years experience in gas‑based power plants
- Design expertise in GT/Generator ventilation and hazardous gas systems
- Knowledge of ANSI, ASME, AMCA, ASHRAE codes
- Familiarity with control and electrical interfaces
- Proficiency with PLM, AVEVA, Power‑Now, Confluence tools
