Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Infrastructure team at Barclays Global Services Center in Pune focuses on building reliable cloud and on‑prem infrastructure. As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will automate operations, monitor performance, and collaborate with product teams to embed SRE practices. Pune office, on‑site work model, with opportunities to influence cross‑functional reliability initiatives.

• Automate routine tasks and deployments
• Monitor system performance and capacity
• Respond to incidents and conduct root cause analysis
• Develop tools and scripts for operational efficiency
• Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability best practices
• Optimize resource usage and performance tuning
• Maintain monitoring and alerting dashboards
• Stay updated on industry trends and share insights

What you’ll bring

• 5+ years SRE or DevOps experience
• Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or Go
• Strong knowledge of Linux, networking, and cloud infrastructure
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
• Familiarity with monitoring/alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
• Ability to troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of IaaS/PaaS services
