About the role

Sopra Steria is a major European tech player providing consulting, digital services, and solutions to drive digital transformation for large organizations. As a Senior Technical Lead - Java/React, you will define development plans and acceptance criteria, design, build, test, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable features, and focus on application performance, quality, and uptime by identifying and solving bottlenecks or bugs, ensuring high-quality code, implementing smart automation, and creating technical documentation. You will embed agile and development best practices in daily work. The role is based in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India (or Bangalore) and is full-time.

What you’ll do

Define the development plan and acceptance criteria based on requirements
Design, build, test, and maintain new and existing features with high-performance, reusable, and reliable code
Identify and solve bottlenecks or bugs to achieve the best possible performance, quality, and uptime
Ensure code quality, readability, and structure
Implement smart automation when relevant
Create and update technical documentation to ensure service continuity
Embed agile and development best practices in daily work

What you’ll bring

At least 9 years of experience in Java J2EE
Strong experience in Spring Boot and SOLID Principles
At least 4 years of experience in ReactJS
Strong experience in JavaScript
Strong skills in SQL and Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL
Knowledge of Kubernetes/OpenShift
Familiarity with DevOps best practices
Experience with tools such as GitLab/GitHub and Maven

Nice to have

Experience with Apache Kafka
Knowledge of Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats)
Experience with Reactive programming
Experience with Event sourcing
Experience with Jenkins
Experience with SonarQube
Experience with Fortify
Experience with IntelliJ
