Solutions Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

Global Services Delivery Team at Astronomer builds and supports private‑cloud Airflow solutions for strategic customers. The Solutions Engineer ensures customers extract maximum value by installing, monitoring, and troubleshooting Kubernetes‑based infrastructure, automating health checks, and driving incident resolution. Hyderabad, hybrid (3 days onsite per week).

What you’ll do

• Maintain assigned strategic accounts to maximize Astronomer value
• Support on‑prem Astro Private Cloud Airflow installations
• Set up and monitor infrastructure metrics for performance and availability
• Troubleshoot Kubernetes, networking, and database issues
• Drive major incidents, root cause analysis, and change implementation
• Develop automation scripts for monitoring and health checks
• Provide guidance on complex infrastructure problems
• Collect customer feedback and relay recommendations to product team

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years Kubernetes experience
• 3-5 years industry experience
• Strong microservices architecture knowledge
• Linux/Unix expertise
• Networking troubleshooting skills
• Advanced knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Customer interaction experience
• Strong oral and written communication

Nice to have

• Apache Airflow production experience
• CI/CD pipeline building
• Long‑term customer engagement experience
• Familiarity with Cloudera, Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, ETL tools
• Python or Shell scripting
