About the role

Cloud and Platform Engineering team at Citigroup builds and modernizes enterprise cloud platforms across AWS and Azure. The Lead Solution Engineer designs, automates, and operates large‑scale cloud solutions, driving observability, security, and reliability initiatives. Based in Chennai with a hybrid work model, the role collaborates with global teams to deliver modern cloud architectures.

What you’ll do

• Architect and implement cloud solutions on AWS and Azure
• Develop IaC templates and automation pipelines
• Ensure security, compliance, and observability of platforms
• Mentor engineering teams on best practices
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to drive modernization

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years cloud platform engineering
• Design and modernization of AWS/Azure solutions
• Infrastructure as Code with CloudFormation or Terraform
• Strong networking and security expertise
• Automation using scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell)

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
• Container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CodePipeline)
• Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
• Agile/Scrum experience
