Demand & Order Analyst

About the role

Supply Chain and Logistics at Caterpillar focuses on efficient demand and order management to support global operations. The Demand & Order Analyst supports customer inquiries, supervises new sales orders, audits order changes, and aligns orders with production plans. Role based in Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, onsite five days a week, with relocation assistance.

What you’ll do

• Supervise and control new sales orders
• Audit customer order change requests
• Serve as primary contact for customer inquiries on lead times and order status
• Align customer orders with sales production plans to meet monthly goals
• Coordinate with other departments to manage sales and customer priorities
• Collect and analyze demand data for short‑term planning
• Prepare demand management reports for senior staff
• Ensure accurate order information and documentation

What you’ll bring

• Degree or equivalent experience desired
• Experience with order processing and change management
• Knowledge of demand management processes
• Familiarity with forecasting tools
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and attention to detail
• Ability to work onsite five days a week
• Willingness to relocate
