New Account Manager – Hazardous Locations or Industrial Equipment
About the role
CSA Group is seeking a New Account Manager for its hazardous locations and industrial equipment division, headquartered in Canada with a Bangalore-based role. The role serves as the primary customer contact to develop new accounts, nurture leads, and win business with manufacturers in explosive atmospheres and industrial control & automation. Day-to-day work includes independent prospecting, territory analysis, proposal preparation with technical specialists, and periodic reporting, with some travel required for client meetings, tradeshows, and office visits.
What you’ll do
- Establish new account relationships to meet personal sales targets, emphasizing the entire value chain of CSA Group services, especially for hazardous locations or industrial equipment
- Independently prospect for new customers within the assigned territory using various lead generation and direct solicitation methods
- Contact former CSA Group customers lost to other agencies to attempt to regain work
- Create strategies to transition customers working with CSA Group competitors to CSA Group
- Prepare written cost proposals for clients in collaboration with Technical Specialists and Operations staff
- Participate in associations and outside organizations deemed appropriate by management
- Provide periodic written reports on calls, customer contact, proposals, quotes, expenses, travel and tradeshow activities, plus oral presentations as required
- Evaluate industry reports, territory databases, and external competitive information to develop territory analysis or provide input for presentations and reporting to manager
What you’ll bring
- Commercially competent in hazardous locations or Industrial TIC sales
- Proven sales experience in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) within hazardous locations or Industrial market, with strong sector connections and a track record of winning new business
- Strong commercial understanding of ATEX Directive, IECEx Scheme, UKEx, North American hazardous location approvals, or industrial control/automation compliance
- Proven ability to consistently exceed sales goals
- Proven experience dealing with large organizations at senior level
- Computer proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and CRM database applications
- Valid driver’s license
- Some travel necessary for client meetings, tradeshows, and visiting CSA Group offices
