About the role
Amazon Stores AppSec team secures the wide‑range of services powering Amazon Stores, from e‑commerce to machine‑learning pipelines. As a Security Engineer you will conduct threat modeling, perform manual and automated secure code reviews, and build security automation tools to help developers ship securely. Bengaluru, India, on‑site role with flexible work hours.
What you’ll do
- Create and maintain threat models for software projects
- Provide security architecture and design guidance
- Conduct manual and automated secure code reviews
- Develop security automation tools
- Perform adversarial security analysis
- Deliver security training and outreach to development teams
- Solve novel security problems independently
- Influence team processes and priorities
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security
- 1+ years application security assessment experience
- Experience with threat modeling and secure code review
- Proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript or similar languages
- Knowledge of AWS services and cloud security
Nice to have
- Experience building security automation tools
- Familiarity with SDLC security phases
- Understanding of cryptography and authentication
