About the role
Auditors team at EXL ensures accurate inpatient coding and DRG validation to support compliance and reimbursement. The Senior Executive conducts in-depth record reviews, mentors coders, and drives quality audits while collaborating with clinical documentation specialists. Chennai, hybrid work model, 40‑hour week.
What you’ll do
- Review inpatient records for accurate ICD‑10‑CM/PCS and DRG assignment
- Ensure compliance with IPPS methodology and CMS guidelines
- Mentor and train coding staff on complex cases
- Perform coding quality audits and report findings
- Identify documentation gaps and collaborate with clinical teams
What you’ll bring
- Bachelors in nursing preferable or science
- CCS Certified Coding Specialist
- CIC Certified Inpatient Coder
- Minimum 2 years IP DRG coding/auditing experience
- 40 hours per week full‑time
