SAP Functional SME

About the role

Databricks IT Finance seeks an SAP Functional SME in Bengaluru to own functional design for core finance processes on S/4HANA. You will bridge Finance and Engineering, using process intelligence and AI to automate workflows like Record-to-Report and Source-to-Pay. This role combines deep SAP expertise with modern data platform integration to drive strategic business value.

What you’ll do

• Lead end-to-end process discovery and AS-IS/TO-BE design for major finance processes
• Own functional configuration, business rules, and master-data strategy for S/4HANA
• Use process mining to identify root causes and prioritize improvements
• Define requirements for AI-assisted and agentic process improvements
• Partner with architects and developers to embed AI safely and define data flows
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops and lead user acceptance testing
• Define KPIs and track ROI for process improvements and automation initiatives
• Coach process owners on process intelligence and AI adoption best practices

What you’ll bring

• 6+ years of SAP functional consulting experience
• Hands-on delivery across at least one full S/4HANA lifecycle
• Deep expertise in Record-to-Report, Source-to-Pay, or Order-to-Cash
• Experience leading process discovery and mining using SAP Process Intelligence
• Practical experience applying Databricks AI and agentic capabilities
• Solid understanding of integration patterns (APIs/OData, IDoc, BTP)
• Working knowledge of SAP authorizations, SoD, SOX, and audit requirements
