About the role
Garrett Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) drives global procurement for high‑performance turbocharging and electric motor technologies. The Commodity Buyer manages electromechanical components, defines supplier strategies, leads purchasing activities, plans AOP, negotiates contracts, and supports NPI and capacity planning across regions. Bangalore, hybrid work model, relocation assistance available.
What you’ll do
- Manage global electromechanical commodities and supplier panel
- Define and execute commodity/supplier strategies for all Garrett locations
- Lead purchasing market activities and support business growth
- Plan and control AOP to meet productivity and capital efficiency targets
- Track generic parts capacity and coordinate with supply chain teams
- Collaborate with product line sourcing for timely, cost‑effective sourcing
- Negotiate pricing, agreements, and consignment stock with suppliers
- Support NPI, supplier quality, and generate VAVE ideas
What you’ll bring
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5-8 years strategic sourcing experience
- Experience with electromechanical commodities
- Strong negotiation and contract administration skills
- Analytical and project management abilities
- Ability to work across time zones
- Effective team participant
