Service Engineer

About the role

Vestas Service APAC > Service Asia > Service Operations seeks a Service Engineer to own post-sales service operations for a Gujarat-based sub-area. Day-to-day, you will manage turbine operations and site performance, maintain daily contact with local technicians, verify safety documentation and permits, coach and lead technicians, and ensure all work follows approved procedures. The role is based in Basavana Bagwadi, KA, IN.

What you’ll do

• Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of jobs, sites, and turbine operations while maintaining daily contact with all local technicians
• Take full ownership of the assigned sub-area and be responsible for overall area performance
• Maintain a high customer-focused approach by promoting quality behavior, responsibility, and an efficient workforce
• Ensure a strong safety and quality mindset within Vestas teams and external service providers at all times
• Perform daily area management activities to monitor progress, safety, and quality
• Verify that all subcontractor safety documentation and equipment certifications are valid and up to date
• Ensure approved lifting plans and valid Permits to Work are in place before task execution
• Act as a role model for technicians by demonstrating leadership, professionalism, and safe working behavior

What you’ll bring

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical
• Strong expertise in turbine, troubleshooting, and MCR (Major Component Replacement) execution
• Completed technical training in electro technology or mechanics
• Remote team management knowledge
• Previous experience in a technologies company or administrative role
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Strong leadership skills
• High safety awareness
