About the role

Senior Workday Data Conversion Consultant at Guidehouse responsible for full-cycle Workday implementations, including requirements gathering, design, and execution of data conversion processes. Lead build timelines, tenant management, and configuration migration using Workday’s toolset. Serve as primary knowledge source for converting legacy data and spreadsheets into Workday Cloud HCM & Financials, creating ETL scripts, validating data, and ensuring high-quality, repeatable conversion activities. Collaborate with client counterparts, project leadership, and Guidehouse Workday Practice to deliver on objectives, identify risks, and propose technical and functional solutions. Requires bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT or related field, 5+ years experience with 2+ years in Workday data conversion/migration, strong Excel, ETL, XML, SQL skills, and active Workday certification. Preferred skills include reporting/analytics/BI, communication, problem-solving, independent and team work, and general consulting/ERP expertise. What you’ll do

• Manage build timelines and collaborate with leads and the project management team on tenant management.
• Plan and execute comprehensive configuration migration throughout deployment using Workday's delivered toolset.
• Serve as the primary knowledge source for converting data from legacy systems and spreadsheets into the Workday Cloud HCM & Financials system.
• Convert data into Workday using Workday-provided loading tools.
• Create ETL scripts to transform and load data in preparation for loading to Workday.
• Lead the validation of data loaded into Workday.
• Assist clients in mapping legacy data, identifying data quality issues, and overseeing conversion activities on the project.
• Communicate key information to project and client leadership.
• Collaborate with client counterparts to successfully deliver on shared objectives.
• Identify and elevate risks in a timely manner and develop alternative technical and functional approaches when necessary.
• Lead the identification of process improvements and changes to our methodology based on project experience.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 2+ years of experience working directly with Workday data conversion/data migration
• Strong Excel skills.
• Strong ETL and XML capabilities.
• SQL experience.
• Active Workday Certification through Workday Partner
