Specialist - Buyer Support - Global Service Centre

About the role

The Specialist - Buyer Support role within the Global Service Centre supports project procurement by expediting order readiness for bulk materials and equipment from suppliers. Day-to-day work includes updating purchase and material requisitions, securing order confirmations, tracking vendor document deliverables, maintaining procurement trackers, and monitoring manufacturing and delivery progress to flag delays to the project team. The position is based on-site in Chennai, Tamil Nadu or Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

What you’ll do

• Expedite readiness of orders for project deliverables such as bulk material and equipment from suppliers and arrange timely delivery while complying with project documentation requirements.
• Update order placement details regularly against each Purchase Requisition and Material Requisition.
• Expedite suppliers and obtain order confirmation for all purchase orders.
• Expedite suppliers and ensure availability of VDRL and its documents on time per the agreed document deliverable schedule.
• Prepare the procurement tracker for all projects for project material with reference to PR/MR.
• Expedite all suppliers and update progress on material manufacturing process and delivery readiness in the tracker.
• Monitor progress and highlight any delays to the project team as soon as identified.
