Security Engineering Associate Consultant

About the role

KPMG Assurance Security Engineering team safeguards the IT environment by managing endpoint security and patch management solutions. The Associate Consultant administers Microsoft Intune, Defender, CrowdStrike and related platforms, deploys and validates patches, scripts automation, and generates compliance dashboards. Bangalore, Karnataka, India – on-site, full-time role with 24x7 on-call rotation.

What you’ll do

• Administer and maintain endpoint security and patching platforms
• Deploy, manage and troubleshoot endpoint protection solutions across servers, workstations, VDI, Macs and mobile devices
• Administer core Microsoft security technologies including Entra, Intune and Defender Security Center
• Deploy and validate patches for servers and workstations per SLA
• Troubleshoot security agent failures in coordination with infrastructure teams
• Develop scripts and automation to improve deployment efficiency and reporting
• Generate compliance metrics, executive reports and operational dashboards
• Participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation and respond to security incidents

What you’ll bring

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Nice to have

• 3-5 years experience with enterprise endpoint security and patch management
• Proficiency with Microsoft Defender suite, Intune and CrowdStrike
• Experience with SCCM, WSUS, Ansible or BigFix
• Strong PowerShell and PowerCLI scripting skills
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems
• Understanding of Entra Active Directory and co‑management concepts
