Platform Engineer (Integration Cell)

About the role

SAP BTP Core INT ABS team drives the evolution of SAP Integration Suite's API Management platform, enabling secure, scalable APIs across hybrid cloud environments. As a Platform Engineer you will design and develop scalable services for the Integration Cell runtime, build backend components in Go, Java, or Node.js, and optimize cloud‑native distributed systems. This role is based in Bangalore, on‑site at SAP Labs, with a focus on modern cloud, container, and DevOps practices.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop scalable services for the Integration Cell runtime
• Build backend services using Go, Java, or Node.js
• Contribute to runtime optimization and scalability of cloud‑native distributed systems
• Work with API Management and integration runtime enhancements
• Collaborate on container orchestration and scaling using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices
• Monitor system performance and implement logging, tracing, and metrics

What you’ll bring

• 2-6 years software and system engineering experience
• Strong development skills in Go, Java, or Node.js
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, or OpenStack
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Concourse, or Argo CD
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices
• Experience with API Management and integration runtimes
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace
