Senior GCP Cloud Expert

About the role

EY’s Consulting Data and Analytics team in Bengaluru seeks a Senior GCP Cloud Expert to design big data implementations for financial services clients. The role involves building scalable data pipelines using GCP services like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub, while architecting large-scale data warehousing solutions. This is an on-site position based in Bengaluru.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement big data cloud solutions on GCP
• Build data pipelines and architectures using GCP services
• Write MapReduce, Spark, or Dataflow jobs for large-scale processing
• Architect scalable data warehouse solutions
• Integrate various technical components and middleware technologies
• Utilize streaming and messaging technologies for data ingestion
• Apply strong analytical skills for data querying and insights
• Collaborate with global teams to deliver client outcomes

What you’ll bring

• 4+ years experience in large-scale data warehousing
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (BigQuery, Dataflow, etc.)
• Proficiency in Spark, PySpark, and Scala
• Experience with streaming technologies like Pub/Sub and Kafka
• Strong SQL and data querying skills
• BE/BTech/MCA/MBA degree

Nice to have

• 7+ years knowledge of data warehouse architectures and ETL/ELT processes
• 4+ years experience in data modeling concepts
• 3+ years development experience in Python and/or Java
• 3+ years experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Big Data ecosystems
• Relevant GCP or professional technical certifications
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins
