Technical Engineer SAP Authorization

About the role

AkzoNobel seeks a Technical Engineer for SAP authorization in Pune, India. This role translates business requirements into secure SAP authorization concepts and GRC implementations. The engineer collaborates with architects and security teams to ensure compliance and efficient system operations. Work is performed on-site in Pune.

What you’ll do

• Design and implement SAP authorization concepts and roles based on business requirements
• Collaborate with functional teams to translate processes into effective authorization models
• Manage user lifecycle and resolve authorization incidents and segregation of duty conflicts
• Lead project lifecycle phases as the main authorization and GRC expert
• Conduct training sessions on SAP security and authorization best practices
• Design solutions for process improvement and automation in Access Control and GRC
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of authorization processes and security configurations
• Resolve issues during UAT testing and cutover activities

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
• Minimum 7 years hands-on experience in SAP authorization
• In-depth knowledge of SAP HANA and SAP GRC
• Proficiency in SAP authorization across BI, CFIN, and ERPs

Nice to have

• Strong knowledge of SAP GRC Access Control (Process Control a plus)
• Relevant SAP certifications considered a strong asset
• Proven track record delivering complex SAP projects
• Ability to work in different time zones as required
