About the role

Enterprise Risk Services (ERS) – Digital Platforms team at Shell embeds secure development practices and strengthens risk and control capabilities across the technology landscape. The Senior Platform Security and Risk Advisor, Application, leads a small team to design and implement application security controls, AI risk governance, and secure pipelines while collaborating with business leaders in an Agile environment. Based in Bangalore, India with flexible working hours and the possibility of remote/mobile work.

What you’ll do

• Embed secure development practices across digital platforms
• Strengthen risk and control capabilities and AI risk governance
• Lead and mentor a small team of security professionals
• Investigate, analyze, and implement solutions to complex security issues
• Collaborate with business leadership and cross‑functional teams
• Operate within IRM policies and exercise independent judgment
• Develop and maintain secure pipelines and supply chain controls
• Conduct threat modeling for cloud, container, and AI workloads

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's in Information Technology or related field
• 9+ years GRC experience with AI risk awareness
• Knowledge of NIST and GDPR standards
• Expertise in application security (OWASP, MITRE)
• Experience with secure pipelines and policy-as-code tools (Apiiro, Dependabot)
• Threat modeling for cloud, containers, and AI workloads
• Programming in Python or Shell for automation
• Strong collaboration in Agile environments
