Specialist - Forwarding Operations

About the role

DP World’s Global Service Centre in Maharashtra, India seeks a Specialist to ensure the accurate and timely movement of ocean freight. The role involves coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing documentation, and serving as the primary contact for customer service operations. This is an on-site position based in Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai.

What you’ll do

• Plan and coordinate freight movement across Ocean, Air, and Road modes
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of bills of lading and customs declarations
• Communicate with carriers, NVOCCs, and terminals for shipment tracking
• Serve as primary point of contact for CSO operators regarding shipment status
• Prepare and maintain import/export documents and customs filing details
• Track and trace shipments to update milestones accurately
• Receive carrier arrival notices and request cargo release information
• Ensure compliance with region-specific KPIs and customs regulations

What you’ll bring

• 4-5 years direct experience in Freight Forwarding or logistics industry
• Experience handling end-to-end shipments
• Prior experience managing shipment files
• Knowledge of customs filing procedures
• Familiarity with shipping-related Export and Import Documentation

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
• Well-versed with MS Office tools
• Familiar with logistics or freight forwarding applications
