About the role

Data & AI Solutions Presales Technology Team at EXL designs and delivers client‑ready demo and proof‑of‑concept environments for AI‑enabled data platforms. The Solution Architect leads the technical design of scalable, event‑driven, multi‑model AI architectures, builds reusable industry‑specific demo environments, and partners with sales to shape solution narratives. Hybrid work model based in India, with frequent client engagements and travel as needed.

What you’ll do

• Partner with sales to create demo and proof‑of‑concept solutions
• Architect scalable, resilient data and AI platforms for presales demos
• Design abstraction layers for multi‑model AI orchestration and cost control
• Implement event‑driven pipelines using Kafka, Pulsar, SQS, etc.
• Define observability, security, and compliance standards for demo environments
• Collaborate with product, data science, and engineering teams to align solutions with regulatory needs
• Mentor junior presales engineers and produce technical artifacts

What you’ll bring

• 15+ years in solution architecture or presales engineering
• Hands‑on experience with at least two hyperscalers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proven design of distributed, microservices‑based AI/ML platforms
• Deep knowledge of data governance, dataops, and event‑driven architectures
• Advanced programming in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript or Go
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines
• Strong client‑facing and presentation skills

Nice to have

• AWS/Azure/GCP certifications
• Kubernetes/CNCF certification
• TOGAF or SAFe certification
