Territory Manager - Cardiac Surgery

Chennai Kilpaak, Tamil Nadu, India Full-time Remote

About the role

Medtronic Cardiac Surgery partners with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, and operating room teams to deliver technologies for complex cardiac and vascular procedures. The Territory Manager drives commercial growth and customer engagement across Tamil Nadu (excluding Coimbatore), executing account plans, providing product education and procedural support, and building relationships with hospital stakeholders and procurement functions. The role follows a remote work style with frequent field-based customer interaction and approximately 50% travel across assigned accounts, hospitals, and healthcare institutions.

What you’ll do

  • Drive territory sales growth by executing account plans and identifying opportunities to expand adoption of Cardiac Surgery therapies across assigned hospitals and healthcare institutions
  • Build and maintain clinical and commercial relationships with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, operating room staff, vascular specialists, and procurement stakeholders
  • Provide product education, technical support, and clinical expertise to support safe and effective use of Cardiac Surgery technologies
  • Deliver procedural support during surgical cases, including troubleshooting and follow-up activities to ensure customer satisfaction and therapy adoption
  • Conduct product training and in-service programmes for new and existing customers on assigned therapy portfolios
  • Partner with key implant centres to develop strategies that increase product utilisation and support progression toward technical self-sufficiency
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence, customer feedback, competitive activity, and product performance insights to internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, inventory-related activities, and territory data within approved business systems

What you’ll bring

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 6+ years experience, OR Associate's Degree AND 4+ years experience, OR Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience

Nice to have

  • Experience in Cardiac Surgery, Cardiovascular, Structural Heart, Perfusion, Extracorporeal Life Support, or related medical device therapies
  • Degree or certification in Perfusion Technology
  • Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or Master of Business Administration
  • Experience supporting live surgical procedures and working directly with cardiac surgeons and operating room teams
  • Knowledge of hospital purchasing processes, account development strategies, and healthcare market dynamics within South India
