Product Security Engineer

About the role

Product Security team at Ciena ensures products are built with security at their core. The engineer drives security activities across the product lifecycle, conducts penetration testing, partners with engineering to remediate issues, and supports PSIRT operations while managing the security lab environment. Gurugram, India, on-site, Full-time.

What you’ll do

• Drive product security activities across development lifecycle
• Execute product penetration testing and vulnerability validation
• Partner with engineering to remediate security issues
• Contribute to PSIRT operations and vulnerability triage
• Maintain security guidelines and secure development practices
• Manage and operate the product security lab environment
• Create and maintain customer‑like lab environments for testing
• Communicate technical risk to stakeholders

What you’ll bring

• 3-5 years product security experience
• Penetration testing tool usage
• Vulnerability assessment and remediation
• Linux systems administration
• Collaboration with engineering teams
• Exposure to PSIRT processes
• Troubleshooting lab and network environments
• Knowledge of security frameworks (OWASP, NIST)
