Senior Associate Director, Tech SME - Counterparty Credit Risk
About the role
HSBC’s Regulatory IT team under Finance IT for Markets Security Services seeks a Senior Associate Director to lead Counterparty Credit Risk (CCR) initiatives. The role involves translating Basel III regulatory intent into implementable requirements, owning BA artefacts, and driving end-to-end UAT for CCR RWA, CVA, and Leverage Ratio programmes. This position is based in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
What you’ll do
- Lead CCR analysis and delivery across regulatory programmes, translating regulatory intent into requirements.
- Own end-to-end BA artefacts including FRS, TRD, LDM, process flows, and lineage assessments.
- Partner with Risk, Finance, and Technology to agree on methodology, assumptions, and data requirements.
- Elicit and manage functional/domain requirements ensuring consistency and traceability.
- Drive stakeholder engagement through workshops, requirement challenge, and clear communication.
- Define BA-led testing approaches covering regulatory rules, data quality, and reconciliations.
- Lead end-to-end UAT including preparing packs, coordinating testers, and securing go-live readiness.
- Own delivery reporting and governance via milestones, dependencies, and RAID logs.
What you’ll bring
- Strong hands-on CCR domain expertise including RWA, CVA, Leverage Ratio, and exposure measures.
- Proven Business Analysis capability producing high-quality artefacts like FRS, TRD, LDM, and JIRA stories.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain traceability from regulation through to sign-off across multiple delivery pods.
- Hands-on testing and UAT capability including writing test scenarios, executing UAT, and managing defect triage.
Nice to have
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and evolving supervisory expectations.
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Delivery management experience in complex programmes involving RAID/dependency management.
- Technical fluency in data models, lineage, interfaces, and calculation engines.
